Admission

Since one of the prime objectives of the institute is to raise the educational standard of the rural youths around Mendarda taluka, the college has an Open Admission Policy.

 
  • The Prospectus and application forms for First Year B.A./B.Com. admission will be available from the next day of the result of std. XII. One can get them     from the college office during the office hours.
  • Admissions to the college in different classes will commence immediately after the declaration of results of the related qualifying examination and shall      remain open till a date fixed by the university. However, candidates are advised to secure their admissions as early as possible.

    Eligibility for Admission : (Statute 150-A)

    A Candidate who has passed the Higher Secondary (12th standard) School Certificate examination conducted by the Gujarat Secondary Examination Board or an Examination recognized equivalent shall be considered eligible for admission to:

     
  • First Year Degree Course under the Faculty of Arts.
  • First Year Degree Course under the Faculty of Commerce if he/she has passed the examination with elements of Accountancy or Business Mathematics or     Statistics or Banking or Economics or subjects of vocational commerce stream.

    Requirements for Admission
     
  • Applications in the prescribed format should be duly filled in and completed in the candidate’s own hand writing either in Gujarati, Hindi or English.
  • Students should enclose the following things with their application forms:

  • Two Passport size photographs.
  • Three photo state copies of 12th standard Mark sheet along with original one. Original mark sheet will be returned back to the students in the second     semester after Diwali vacation.
  • Three photo state copies of School Leaving Certificate.
  • One copy of Caste Certificate if he/she is an S.C./S.T./O.B.C. student.
  • One photo-state copy of Disability Certificate of the competent authority, if   he/she is a disable student.
  •  
  • Every Student should have to pass through the process of interview held by the admission committee at the time of admission.
  • Once admitted the fees would have to be deposited within the prescribed time limit, failing which the admission would automatically be cancelled.
  • All admissions will be provisional subject to the University’s final acceptance and approval.
  • The college reserves the right to reject any application for admission without any reason whatsoever.
  • All the students will be given Insurance Policy by Saurashtra University. If any student meets with an accident or death, he/she will be provided     Rs.50000/-, Rs.25000/- or Rs.12500/-(according to the death or intensity of disability) by Saurashtra University. For this, the students must fill ‘Proposal     Form’ along with the admission form. Only those who have filled this form will get this benefit. Once it is filled in the First Semester, there is no need to fill it     again in the subsequent semesters.
  • Each student must remain present in the Morning Prayer.
  • 80 % attendance is compulsory, failing which will cancel your term.
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited in and around college campus. If someone is caught smoking, then a fine of Rs 200 would be imposed on that person in     accordance with the National Tobacco Control Act 2003.
  • Bringing mobiles in the college campus is strictly prohibited.
  • The eligible students will be given government scholarships.
  • Each student must get his/her Identity Card. They should wear their Identity Card permanently during college timings.
  • One can contact principal between 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. for any information.
  • If principal calls any parent/guardian, he/she should come to college to meet him.
