List of Committee and their Functions
1. Internal Quality Assurance Cell
  • Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters in various activities of the institution.
  • Dissemination of information on quality aspects.
  • Organization of discussions, workshops, seminars and promotion of quality circles.
  • Recording and monitoring quality measures of the institution.
  • Acting as a nodal agency of the institution for quality-related activities.
  • Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report and such other reports as may be decided from time to time.

    2. Research Committee:
  • Activities related to faculty development, i.e. RC/OP, Seminar/Conference, etc
  • To supervise Best Practices and ‘SA’ (Self Appraisals) of the faculty members.
  • Inspiring students for Project Work.
  • Counseling teachers for research & development work.
  • Guidance and help in publication of books, articles etc.
  •  
    3. Library Advisory Committee:
  • Developing e-Resources such as educational CDs, DVDs, etc
  • Computerization of library.
  • Maintenance of books and other materials.
  • Finalizing the list of useful titles, publishers and placing order for the same.
  • Maintaining Library register

    4. Career Counseling Cell/UDISHA
  • Guidance to students for vocational and professional training.
  • Counseling them for further studies.
  • Motivating them for learning English Language.

    5. Alumni Association:
  • Provide former students opportunities to do something for their alma mater.
  • Annual general meetings of executive committee.
  • Inviting former students in college functions.
  • Giving platform to former students to interact with current students.
  • Donate books/teaching equipments.
  • Interaction with current students through lectures, group discussion etc. in the field of expertise.
  • Endowing at least two students every year: (i) academically the best student and (ii) economically the most needed student.
  • Helping in sports and cultural activities.
  • Prize / award in the field of Academic / sports / NSS / cultural activities.

    6. Grievance Redressal Cell:
  • Placing suggestion boxes at the entrance / exit door of college & library.
  • Inspection of these suggestion boxes every fortnight and scrutinize suggestions / complaints / grievances written by stakeholders (students, staff,     parents etc).
  • Assessment of all the complaints and grievances and try to redress them.

    7. Admission Committee:
  • Counseling parents / students in choice of subjects.
  • Preparation of merit list keeping in mind their reserved quota.
  • Preparation of annual academic time-table for regular classes, examinations etc.
  • Ensure that all the teachers are assigned lectures as per UGC / Government’s rules and regulations.

    8. Time Table & Annual Planning Committee:
  • Making of time-table for class room teaching.

    9. Parent-Teacher Association :
  • Bridging the communication gap between parents and teachers.
  • Acquainting of parents with the growth and progress of students
  • Inviting parents in cultural & other programmes
  • Giving moral support and encourage the child by inviting his/her parents in prize distribution ceremonies and other such activities.

    10. Community Service Association :
     
  • Understanding the community in which they work.
  • Identifying the needs and problems of the community and involve them in problem-solving.
  • Developing among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility.
  • Utilizing their knowledge in finding practical solutions to individual and community problems.
  • Developing competence required for group-living and sharing of responsibilities.
  • Gaining skills in mobilizing community participation.
  • Acquiring leadership qualities and democratic attitudes.
  • Developing capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters and practice national integration and social harmony.

    11. Women Empowerment Cell :
     
  • Facilitating participation of women faculty in seminars/ conferences/ workshops/ faculty development programs.
  • Arrangement of seminar/lecture on laws etc related to women rights.
  • Arrangement of training/guidance to girls for sports, cultural activities competitive exam.
  • Legal awareness programmes related to women rights.
  • Solving individual grievances concerning any kind of harassment including sexual harassment in the premises of the institute.

    12. Knowledge Generation Committee:
     
  • Arranging such activities as uplifts life goals and standards of students.
  • Arranging debates and discussions on current topics for one hour every fortnight.
  • Celebrating Vivekananda anniversary (12th January) by arranging Essay Competition.
  • Arranging General Knowledge Competition once in a year.

    13. Creative Orientation Committee:
     
  • Arranging workshops and training programs for development of skill like elocution, writing, translation, art etc.
  • Give guidance for literary creativity
  • Arranging inter-disciplinary workshops and guidance lectures by the experts.

    14. Art & Skill Development Committee:
     
  • Arranging guidance lectures and workshops for different skill development.
  • Arranging painting competitions.
  • Arranging painting exhibitions.
  • Arranging Rangoli, Rakhadi, Mahendi and other such activities competitions.

    15. Drama Committee:
     
  • Arranging drama competitions.
  • Arranging such activities that make student understand the real sense of the   dramas.

    16. Music Committee:
     
  • Arranging such programmes that create interest of healthy music into students.
  • Arranging such musical programs that develop spiritual interest into students.
  • Arranging such programmes that develop into student’s integrity, tolerance, self-confidence and communal harmony.

    17. Athletics, Yoga and Sports Committee:
     
  • Arranging workshops on Yoga.
  • Arranging various games competitions.
  • Making planning of mass Drill lings.

    18. Media Committee:
     
  • Preparation of press release for the activities done in college.
  • Inviting Press / Journalist to cover student’s activities of college.
  • Making cuttings of the papers with our college news and file them properly for future references.
  • Making CDs of the news items covered in local news channel.
  • Publication of College journal / magazine.
  •    
    19. Equipment Committee:
     
  • To find out the suitable requirements of various equipments for the development of students.
  • To have a careful look to the equipments whether they are functioning properly.
  • To maintain them properly.
  •    
    20. Administrative Advisory Committee:
     
  • To guide the administrative staff in solving the confusions regarding financial matters.
  • To help and guide the administrative staff in making bills of arrears, GPF, pension, gratuity, Senior/Selection grade, regular increments etc.
  • To solve the problem of pending financial matters.
  • To get the information of previous years pending work and try to solve them.
  • To inform the staff about all circulars related to them especially arrears, D.A., etc. in the common room
  • To help and guide the administrative staff in calculation of staff income-tax and handle the financial matters.
  • To arrange that the Annual receipt of GPF should reach to all the staff members in time.
  • To help and guide the administrative staff in filing circulars related to arrears, D.A. etc.
  • To help the administrative staff in completing the service book of all staff members.
  •    
    21. Planning Board :
     
  • Make a vision for the institute for its coming five years.
  • Make a plan for financial requirements to fulfill the vision.
  • Make a plan about how much financial help can be sought from the UGC.
  • Prepare a composite proposal for financial help from UGC under XI plan for college development and other schemes.
  • Monitoring of each activity that are being done under UGC’s financial help.

    22. Anti Ragging Committee/Anti-sexual Harassment Committee
     
  • Give information about the act of Ragging
  • Redresses the grievances regarding ragging
  • Make healthy atmosphere of the institute.

    23. Tour Committee:
     
  • Organizing Tour
  • Find out the Educational importance of the places
  • Keep watch on each and every aspect during the tour.
